Cannot think of a word?
Finding yourself lost in translation is definitely not so great (unless you are Scarlet Johansson). That place can be a far away land, an unknown street, or occasionally even your own home at the time when a new lawn or cleaning crew arrives.
What do you do when you see someone who does not speak your language? You might attempt using your hands to state your position on each issue. But traditions differ, situations differ and thus signs do not always help. If you are good at scanning for words you might want to obtain yourself a mini-dictionary for such situations. And yet, a paper dictionary might be not so fast to get around. Or you might go for a more up-to-date and convenient solution. Like having an electronic translator. A seemingly impossible task of interacting in a language unknown to you might be manageable with the assistance of a handheld electronic device! (more…)
